HGV Driver (Class CE / SPL)
Trade & Transport — Strasbourg, France
P-322 · Functional (B1) · 3 openings
A transport company near Strasbourg needs an articulated lorry driver who knows the Rhine corridor and can keep a tight delivery schedule. Steady regional runs, mostly day shifts, full kit provided.
About role
You drive a 40-tonne articulated rig on regional routes across Alsace and into Germany, with the occasional longer run toward Lyon or the Benelux. Most days start between 4 and 6 in the morning at the depot, where you do your walk-around check, hook up the trailer and plan your drops. You load and secure pallets with straps and bars, handle the tail lift, and use a pallet truck at delivery points. Paperwork runs through a tablet and a digital tachograph, so you log your hours and sign off each delivery as you go. Sites range from supermarket back docks to building yards, so you reverse into tight bays and work next to forklifts. Two or three nights away per month are possible during busier weeks, with the truck cab as your base.

Valid CE licence with a current CPC (FIMO/FCO) and digital driver card
Clean tachograph record and solid knowledge of EU driving and rest rules

Experience securing loads with straps, bars and the tail lift
Functional English (B1) for delivery notes and depot instructions; French or German a plus
Benefits
Help with the move and a shared flat sorted for your first weeks
Travel to Strasbourg covered for the first trip
Meal allowance for nights spent away from home
French health cover and pension from your first month

Promotion terms
You start at 2190 euros net per month. Once you know the routes and the team trusts you on the harder runs and night work, pay moves up to 2520 euros net. That step usually lands inside the first year, and drivers who take on trainer duties for new hires get there sooner.
Work environment
The depot sits in the Strasbourg port and industrial zone, with secure parking and a driver room for breaks. You work mostly alone in the cab, in touch with a dispatcher who plans the day. Weather on the docks swings from cold winter mornings to hot summer afternoons, and high-vis plus safety boots are worn on every site.
