Waiter

You set and reset your station, greet guests, take the order on a handheld terminal and explain the daily dishes and the wine by the glass. You carry plates from the pass, watch your tables for the next step of the service and settle the bill by card or cash. Before service you polish glasses and cutlery and check the terrace furniture. Service runs 16:00-23:30 with a break, and on Friday and Saturday the last order is taken at midnight.

Trade training in restaurant service or two years in a similar house

Able to carry three plates and to work a full station alone

Confident with a handheld order terminal and with card payment

Knowledge of the usual wine and beer service in Germany

Willing to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

German at B1 level for guests and English at the same level

Net salary from 2000 up to 2200 EUR per month

Permanent contract with the hours recorded electronically

Tips shared by the house according to a written key

Staff meal before every service and free soft drinks

Two consecutive days off and the roster two weeks ahead

Paid wine training with the supplier four times a year

Service shirts and aprons supplied and laundered

A waiter who runs a station cleanly through a full house takes over the shift lead, which covers the till, the reservations and the briefing before service.

A dining room of 90 covers, an open pass to the kitchen and a courtyard terrace used from April to October. Closed non slip shoes are required, shirts and aprons come from the house.
