Meat Processing Worker

You take quarters and primals off the rail, trim fat and sinew to the cutting specification and separate the cuts into marked crates. Each crate is weighed, labelled with the batch and the date and moved into the chiller within the time the plan allows. You sharpen your knife on the steel through the shift, record the room temperature twice a day and clean your station down at the end. The shift runs 05:00-13:30 from Monday to Friday with a paid break at nine.

Completed primary school, a butchery certificate is welcome but not required

Willing to work at four to seven degrees through the shift

Safe knife handling, the plant trains and tests it

Valid food handling health certificate, the check is paid

Able to start at 05:00 and to lift crates up to 20 kg

Basic Czech or English for the cutting specification and hygiene rules

Net salary from 1253 up to 1378 EUR per month

Permanent contract with insurance from the first day

Knives, steel, mesh glove and laundry of the whites paid by the plant

Paid health certificate and the annual medical check

Workers who pass the cutting test move from trimming to full carcass breaking, which carries a higher grade, and the plant pays for the butchery course at a school in Ostrava.

A tiled cutting room held at four to seven degrees with a rail system, height adjustable tables and a separate wash down area. A mesh glove, apron, cap, whites and non slip boots are mandatory and supplied.
