Industrial Paint Sprayer

You prepare the surface first: degrease, blast or sand to the grade the specification names, mask what must stay clean and check that the part is dry. Then you mix the paint to the ratio on the sheet, set the gun pressure and spray in even passes, measuring the wet film with a comb as you go. Dry film thickness is checked with a gauge and written on the job card. The shop works two shifts, 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00, rotating weekly.

Trade certificate as a painter or sprayer, or equal practice

At least two years with a spray gun on steel or concrete

Mixing two component paints to a stated ratio

Basic Czech or English for the paint data sheet and safety labels

Sprayers who learn to read a coating specification and to sign off film thickness take over the quality record for the shop, which carries a supplement and the first pick of the day shift.

A spray booth with filtered down draught, a separate drying oven and a masking bench outside the booth. A fresh air mask, overall, gloves and safety shoes are mandatory and issued by the employer.
