Machine Operator

You load the sheet onto the table with the crane and the magnet, call up the cutting programme, set the gas and the nozzle for the thickness and start the run. During the cut you watch the edge quality, change a worn nozzle and clear the slag drawer. Finished parts are deburred, counted against the job card and stacked on the transport pallet with the job number on top. Two shifts run 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation and a paid handover of fifteen minutes.

Trade certificate in engineering or metalwork, or equal practice

At least one year on a cutting, pressing or machining centre

Reading a part drawing and a job card without help

Caliper and depth gauge used correctly

Slinging licence an advantage, the course is paid

Willing to rotate the morning and the afternoon shift

Net salary from 1120 up to 1232 EUR per month

Permanent contract with insurance from the first day

Afternoon shift supplement paid on top of the basic rate

Operators who learn to edit the programme at the machine and to set the press brake move to the setter grade, which carries a fixed supplement and the first pick of the day shift.

A heated hall with extraction over each cutting table, a separate deburring corner and an overhead crane on every bay. Goggles, gloves, ear protection and safety shoes are mandatory and issued by the employer.
