Production Line Supervisor

You start the shift with the handover from the previous supervisor, the plan for the day and the manning of every station. Through the shift you balance the line, move operators where the takt slips, release the first piece with quality, and call maintenance the moment a station stops. You record downtime with its reason, count scrap against the target, run the five minute stand up at the board and sign the shift report. You train new operators at the station, keep the holiday plan for your crew and sit in the weekly planning meeting with production and quality.

Higher school or faculty in engineering, technology or organisation

At least three years on a production line, one of them leading people

Reading a work instruction, a takt plan and a quality alert

Calm and fair handling of a crew of 25 to 30 people

Basic knowledge of five S and of simple problem solving

Three shift rotation, including nights

English at B1 for customer reports and plant systems

Net salary from 638 up to 700 EUR per month

Permanent contract after a six month trial period

Night shift supplement and a quarterly bonus on line output

Warm meal in the canteen and a cash transport allowance

Paid training in lean methods and in leading a team

Company phone and a laptop for the shift reports

Work clothing, safety shoes and hearing protection provided

The plant fills its production manager posts from among the shift supervisors, and the training path runs through the quality and the planning department so the next step is not only more people to lead.

An assembly hall with fixed workstations, adjustable benches, marked walkways and a meeting board at the head of every line. Safety shoes, hearing protection and a vest are worn on the floor and provided by the plant.
