A traditional manufacturer of special steels in Ravne na Koroškem is hiring metal grinders. Ravne is the cradle of the Slovenian steel industry and we export our products to 30+ countries. Work in a company with 400+ years of metallurgy tradition.
About role
The metal grinder will perform precision grinding of metal products on Studer, Jung and Okamoto flat, cylindrical and profile grinding machines. Work includes workpiece clamping, selecting Norton/Tyrolit grinding wheels, parameter settings and measuring tolerances down to IT5. Participate in surface roughness control Ra 0.4-1.6 with Mitutoyo gauge.
Who's a fit?
Completed mechanical engineering education
2+ years of experience on grinding machines
Knowledge of grinding wheels and cooling emulsions
Reading technical drawings with geometric tolerances
Working with measuring instruments (micrometer, dial indicator)
Technical precision and patience
Willingness for 2-shift work
