CNC Machine Operator

You load and unload parts, start the programme from the control, and watch the first piece through the cycle before the batch runs. Between pieces you deburr, blow the fixture clean and check dimensions with a caliper and a micrometer against the control plan. You correct tool wear through the offset table, change inserts when the finish drops, and record each batch and any scrap. Shifts are 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00, and the setter prepares the job.

Vocational school in metalworking, mechanical engineering or a CNC course

At least one year at a CNC lathe or milling machine in a production shop

Reading a technical drawing, a tolerance and a surface finish symbol

Measuring with a caliper, a micrometer and a bore gauge

Basic understanding of a control such as Fanuc, Siemens or Heidenhain

Willing to work two shifts with a weekly rotation

English at A2 for control menus, safety rules and shift handover

Net salary from 1350 up to 1500 EUR per month

Permanent contract after a three month trial period

Afternoon shift supplement paid with the monthly salary

Paid training on the shop controls and on the measuring equipment

Help with registration, the residence permit and accommodation

Work clothing, safety shoes, glasses and gloves provided

Operators who take on setting and simple programme edits move to setter within about two years, and the shop trains its programmers from that group.

A clean machining hall held at a steady temperature, with enclosed machines, coolant mist extraction and a separate measuring room. Safety shoes, glasses and gloves for handling are worn, and long sleeves are not allowed at the spindle.
