Formwork Carpenter

You build formwork for cast in place concrete on multi storey buildings. Daily work covers reading shuttering drawings, assembling wall and slab panels, setting props and bracing, checking level and plumb, and stripping forms once the concrete has cured. You work alongside the steel fixers and the concrete crew and keep the pour schedule. Most sites run Monday to Friday with paid Saturday work when a slab pour is planned. You report to the site foreman and are responsible for the safe handling of panels and props.

At least 2 years of formwork experience on concrete structures

Able to read shuttering and reinforcement drawings

Hands on with Peri, Doka, or similar panel systems

Confident working at height with harness and scaffold

Good with hand and power tools, level, and plumb

Team worker who keeps the pour schedule

Romanian construction work card or willing to obtain one

Net salary 1380-1660 EUR (10% above market average)

Paid overtime at 75% for Saturday and pour days

A carpenter who runs his panels clean and on time moves up to team lead over a four to six man crew, with a pay step and a phone allowance. From there the path is assistant foreman.

Active building site, outdoor work in all seasons, with scaffold, formwork panels, and cranes overhead. Safety briefing every morning and a site engineer who signs off each pour before concrete arrives.
