Truck Driver (HGV, National Routes)
Trade & Transport — Zaragoza, Spain
P-330 · Functional (B1) · 4 openings
A transport company on the Zaragoza ring road needs HGV drivers for national runs across Spain. Steady weekly mileage, modern tractor units, and you are home most weekends.
About role
You will run articulated rigs (tractor plus tilt or box trailer) out of the depot in the Plaza logistics park, hauling palletised goods to Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and the Basque Country. A typical week is four or five long days, leaving early and doing one or two delivery points per shift. You handle the tachograph, do the daily walk-around check, secure the load with straps before you pull away, and use a transpallet at customer docks when there is no forklift. Loads are tracked through the onboard terminal, so you log arrivals and any delay on the unit itself. Most nights away are spent in the cab, which has a bunk, fridge and heater, with two or three nights out in a normal week.

Promotion terms
You start on national palletised routes and, once you know the network, you can move onto better-paying long runs and dedicated customer accounts. Drivers who stay clean on hours and damage move from the starting net of 1,730 euros towards 2,010 euros a month within the first year or two. There is also a route into trainer and planning roles for those who want off the road later on.
Work environment
The base is a busy distribution hub off the A-2, with its own fuel point, wash bay and driver rest area. Days are long and the schedule is tight, but the routes are fixed and the trucks are well kept. Summers on the road through Aragon get hot, so the cabs are air conditioned and you plan your breaks around the heat.
