Delivery Van Driver

The day starts at the depot, where you scan and load your own parcels in reverse delivery order and check the list of cash on delivery items. On the round you deliver against a signature on the terminal, leave a notice where nobody answers and take returns back to the depot the same evening. You keep the van tidy and report any scratch or warning light before the next driver takes it. Round hours are 08:00-16:30 with a paid half hour break, and you report to the depot supervisor.

Category B licence held for at least two years, clean record

Experience driving a van of up to 3.500 kg in city traffic

Able to carry parcels up to 25 kg and to use stairs where there is no lift

Orderly with a scanner, a signature terminal and cash on delivery

Calm with customers at the door, since every stop is a handover

English at B1 for addresses and terminal menus

Residence permit valid for work in Spain

Net salary from 1400 up to 1540 EUR per month

Pay in fourteen instalments, the two extra payments already inside the monthly figure quoted

Permanent contract with social security registration from day one

Company van, fuel card and parking inside the depot

Meal voucher for every full round worked

Fixed district after the first month, so the round is learned once

Work jacket, gloves, vest and safety shoes provided

Drivers who finish a year with a low incident rate move to the pre route team, which prepares and balances the rounds in the morning and works to a fixed schedule.

A covered depot with a sorting belt and numbered loading positions, and then the street for most of the day. City traffic, lifts and stairs, and weather that runs from cold mornings in January to thirty degrees in August.
