Forklift Driver

You unload trailers with a counterbalance truck, check the pallet count against the delivery note and move the goods to their assigned bay. During the shift you feed the picking aisles from the high racks with a reach truck, tidy damaged pallets and place returns in the quarantine zone. Before starting you run the daily check on the truck: forks, mast, horn, brake and battery charge, and you sign the sheet. Shifts are 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 in a weekly rotation under the warehouse supervisor.

Valid forklift licence for counterbalance and reach trucks

At least one year driving in a racked warehouse

Drivers who add the retractable and the order picker to their licence take the inventory round, which is a fixed morning post with a supplement in the logistics agreement.

A flat floor warehouse of thirty thousand square metres, lit to warehouse standard, with charging bays separated from the traffic lanes and a speed limit signed on every aisle. Vest, safety shoes and seat belt on the truck are mandatory.
