Steady welding work with a metal industry company just outside Bilbao. You weld, they handle the paperwork, the housing and the move.
About role
You spend most of the day on MIG/MAG (135/136) work, joining steel sheet and structural sections for industrial parts and frames. Plates run from a few millimetres up to thicker structural stock, so you switch between fillet and butt welds and read the WPS before you strike an arc. You set your own wire speed, voltage and gas flow on the machine, tack the assembly from the drawing, then run the full passes. Between welds you grind, clean spatter and check the bead for porosity or undercut. The shop runs two shifts, mornings one week and afternoons the next, Monday to Friday with overtime on offer when orders pile up.
Who's a fit?
Solid hands-on experience with MIG/MAG (135/136) on steel
Able to read basic technical drawings and a WPS
Comfortable with fillet and butt joints in flat and horizontal positions
Grinding, prep and post-weld cleaning come naturally to you
Willing to relocate to the Bilbao area
Benefits
Relocation to Spain organised and paid by the employer
Shared accommodation sorted for your first months
Daily transport to the site
Private health insurance after the trial period
Promotion terms
You start at 1900 net a month. Once you pass certification on thicker structural welds and show steady quality, pay moves up to 2200 net. Most welders reach that mark inside the first year.
Work environment
The work happens inside a covered industrial unit with extraction at each welding bay, so smoke is pulled away from your face. It gets warm in summer and the noise is real, so ear protection and your auto-darkening helmet stay on. The team is small and the foreman speaks enough English to get you started while you pick up the Spanish.
