Greenhouse Harvest Worker

You harvest tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers by hand and move full crates to the packing line. Days start early to beat the midday heat inside the greenhouse, with the standard split shift common in Almería. You sort fruit by size and color, discard damaged produce, and keep rows and walkways clear. The work runs February through June and follows the rhythm of the crop, so some Saturdays are working days during peak picking. A foreman assigns rows each morning and checks quality before crates leave the finca.

Physically fit, comfortable working in greenhouse heat and humidity
