Industrial Cleaning Operative

You clean warehouses, food production halls, and office floors across sites in and around Paris. The work is mostly machine scrubbing, mopping large floor areas, emptying bins, wiping down surfaces, and sanitising washrooms and break rooms. Most shifts run early morning from 5am, or evenings after the site closes, so you work when the floors are empty. You handle a ride-on or walk-behind floor scrubber, a single-disc rotary machine, and a wet-and-dry vacuum. Some days mean high-pressure washing of loading bays or stripping and resealing hard floors. You follow a checklist for each zone and sign it off before you leave.

Able to be on your feet for a full shift and lift up to 15 kg

Comfortable starting at 5am or working late evenings

Basic French or English, enough to read a checklist and a safety label

You start as an operative and pick up the machines within the first weeks. Once you can run a site on your own and train a new starter, you move up to team lead with a pay rise toward the top of the range. Most people get there inside a year if they keep their attendance clean.

Sites range from cold storage warehouses to busy office buildings, so the setting changes through the week. You work in small crews of three or four, with a supervisor who plans the route. Expect wet floors, cleaning chemicals, and noise from the machines, all handled with the gear and training provided.
