Farm / Agricultural Field Worker

You'll work the fields and greenhouse tunnels for a agriculture company near Strumica that grows peppers, tomatoes and early vegetables. Most days start around 6am to beat the heat: planting seedlings, tying vines, weeding rows by hand and picking ripe produce into crates. During harvest you'll sort and pack what comes off the field, load it onto trailers and help keep the irrigation lines clear. You'll handle hoes, pruning shears, hand carts and the odd motoblock, and in peak season the days run long. Cooler months shift to pruning, repairing tunnels and prepping soil for the next planting. It's physical, repetitive at times, and done in all weather.

Fit for steady physical work outdoors in heat and cold

Basic English (A1/A2) to follow simple instructions

Farm or field experience is a plus, not required

Start at 490 EUR net per month. Once you've shown you're steady, know the fields and can lead a small picking crew, the pay moves up to 570 EUR net. Most people reach that within a season or two.

The site is open farmland and plastic tunnel greenhouses on the Strumica plain, flat ground with little shade. Summers are hot and dusty, so you drink a lot of water and take breaks in the shade. The work is mostly done in small crews, side by side with people who've done it for years.
