Fruit and Vegetable Packer
Agriculture · Bitola, North Macedonia
JB-784 · Basic (A2) · 25 openings
A packing house in the Zhabeni zone outside Bitola takes in apples, peppers and cabbage from Pelagonia growers and packs them for retail chains. It is hiring packers for the autumn season, from October to the end of January.
About role
You stand at a sorting table and take out fruit that is bruised, split or undersized, then pack the rest into crates, nets or trays to the weight the order calls for. Every crate is weighed, labelled with the variety and the date, and stacked on a pallet in a fixed pattern. The cold store runs at 2 to 4 degrees and you spend part of the shift in it when the finished pallets are moved. One shift runs 07:00-15:00, with a second shift added at the peak of the apple intake in November.
