MIG/MAG Welder
Metal Industry — Nikšić, Montenegro
P-268 · Basic (A2) · 4 openings
Steady welding work at a metal fabrication shop just outside Nikšić, with a fixed monthly net and a clear raise once you settle in. If you can run a MIG/MAG gun on structural steel and read a basic drawing, this is for you.
About role
Your day runs in two shifts, mornings one week and afternoons the next, on a five-day week with Saturdays only when a delivery date is tight. You weld carbon steel sections from 3 to 12 mm, mostly frames, brackets and platform structures, using semi-automatic MIG/MAG sets with solid wire and mixed gas. You set your own amperage and wire speed off the drawing, tack the parts on the jig, then run the full passes and clean the spatter and slag before handover. A good part of the work is fillet and butt welds in flat and horizontal position, with some vertical-up once you know the shop. You grind, fit and check your own seams, and the foreman spot-checks against the weld map. Cranes and a forklift move the heavier pieces, so most of your day is on the gun, not lifting.

Promotion terms
You start at 900 EUR net per month. Once you pass the trial and the foreman signs off on your weld quality, usually within four to six months, you move up to 1040 EUR net. Welders who take on jig setup or coded work get first call on the next opening.
Work environment
The shop is a covered hall with welding bays, overhead cranes and proper extraction over the stations. It gets warm in summer and cool in winter, and you wear the full kit the employer provides, jacket, gloves, mask and boots. Noise and grinding dust are part of it, so hearing and eye protection are worn at all times.
