Construction Laborer / Mason

You will be laying block and brick, mixing mortar by hand and with a small mixer, and keeping the masons supplied so the wall never waits. Days start at 7 in the morning and run to about 4, Monday through Friday, with the odd Saturday when a pour is scheduled. Expect to haul bags of cement, move pallets with a wheelbarrow, cut block with an angle grinder, and set up and move scaffolding as the work climbs. You will also dig footings, backfill, and clean the site at the end of each shift. On rainy weeks the crew moves to interior work like plastering and screed.

Physically fit, able to lift 25 kg through the day

Start at 870 EUR net per month. Once you can lay block clean and run a section on your own, usually within the first season, pay moves up to 1010 EUR net. The foreman tracks who is ready and the raise follows the work, not the calendar.

The site is an open residential build on the edge of Podgorica, dusty in summer and loud with mixers and grinders. You are outside most of the day in real heat, so water and shade breaks are built into the schedule. Hard hat, boots and high-visibility vest are required at all times.
