Construction Laborer
Construction — Cluj-Napoca, Romania
P-254 · Basic (A2) · 4 openings
A construction company near Cluj-Napoca needs extra hands on a residential block that is going up over the next year. Steady work, paid weekly, no experience needed if you are willing to learn on site.
About role
You spend most of the day moving materials around the site, carrying bags of cement, stacking bricks and blocks, and feeding the bricklayers and the team running the formwork. There is a fair amount of mixing mortar and concrete, both by hand and with the mixer, plus loading and pushing wheelbarrows up the ramps. You help set up and strip scaffolding, dig small trenches, and keep the floors swept and clear so nobody trips. Shifts run Monday to Friday, roughly 7 in the morning until half past four, with the odd Saturday when the pour is behind schedule. The site manager tells you each morning where you are needed, so the work changes from one day to the next.

Work environment
This is an open-air residential site, so you work in whatever weather Transylvania gives you, mud in spring and dust in summer. The crew is a mix of locals and people from abroad, and the foreman keeps things straightforward. You will be on your feet the whole shift with two breaks and a longer lunch.
