Forklift Driver

You unload trailers with a counterbalance truck, move pallets to the reserve racking with a reach truck and refill the picking aisles as the stock drops. Every movement is confirmed on the terminal, so the location and the pallet number must agree before you drive away. Before the shift you run the daily check on the truck, forks, mast, horn, brakes and battery, and write anything faulty in the log. Two shifts alternate weekly, 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00, with every second Saturday worked and paid at the overtime rate.

Valid forklift licence, counterbalance and reach truck

At least two years driving in a warehouse

Confident with a hand terminal and with location codes

Reads a pallet label and a delivery note

Willing to work two shifts and every second Saturday

Steady around pedestrians in a narrow aisle

Basic English for the terminal and the safety signs

Net salary from 1095 up to 1204 EUR per month

Licence renewal and the periodic medical paid by the employer

Drivers who take the narrow aisle truck training move to the high bay racking, where the shift premium is higher. The depot fills its shift leader seats from the driving team.

A heated hall with marked driving lanes, mirrors at every blind corner and a ventilated battery room. A high visibility vest, safety shoes and hearing protection near the strapping machine are mandatory and supplied.
