Warehouse Worker

You pick orders from pallet racking with a hand terminal, check the article number and the quantity against the picking list, and build the pallet so the heavy cartons sit at the bottom. Finished pallets are wrapped, labelled and staged in the dispatch lane by gate number. Damaged goods go on a separate pallet and are reported to the shift leader before loading begins. Three shifts rotate weekly, 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 and 22:00-06:00, and the night shift carries a supplement.

Finished primary school, no trade certificate needed

A picker who learns the goods receipt scanner moves to the inbound team within a year. After the trial period the site pays for the forklift licence and for the medical examination it needs.

A heated hall with pallet racking up to eight metres, painted walkways and a separate charging room for the electric trucks. Safety shoes, a high visibility vest and gloves are mandatory and supplied by the employer.
