Formwork Carpenter
Construction · Tampere, Finland
JB-987 · Basic (A2) · 6 openings
A concrete frame contractor working in the Hiedanranta area of Tampere is hiring formwork carpenters for cast in place walls and slabs. The company builds frames for apartment blocks and car park decks across Pirkanmaa. The contract is permanent and the work moves from site to site within the city.
About role
You set system formwork to the line and the level marked by the surveyor, fit ties and props, check the plumb of the wall before the pour and take the panels down once the concrete has set. Slab work means laying the deck, setting the props to the height on the drawing and boxing out the openings for the services. You are present at the pour to watch the formwork and to tighten anything that moves. Measurements are taken from the drawing and checked with a laser and a tape. The working day is 07:00 to 15:30, and a pour can run later with the hours paid as overtime.
