Hotel Room Attendant

You clean between twelve and sixteen rooms a shift from the room list the housekeeper gives you at the start of the day. A departure room is stripped, the bed is made with fresh linen, the bathroom is washed and restocked, the floor is vacuumed and the minibar and the amenities are checked and filled. A stay over room takes the short round. You report anything broken, anything left behind and any room you could not enter, and you mark each room ready in the system so reception can sell it. The shift is 08:00 to 16:00 with one weekend in two worked and the weekend hours paid at the agreement rate.

Completed basic school, hotel experience an advantage but not required

Physical stamina for a shift of bending, lifting linen and pushing a trolley

An eye for detail: a hair on the tile is the whole job

Discretion with guest property and with rooms in use

Willingness to work every second weekend

Basic English for guest contact in the corridor

Net salary from 1898 up to 2087 EUR per month

Permanent contract and full insurance from the first working day

Weekend and public holiday pay under the hospitality agreement

Paid induction of two weeks working beside an experienced attendant

Uniform laundered by the house, gloves and non slip shoes provided

Attendants who learn the room system and the linen order move to the floor supervisor round, which checks the rooms instead of cleaning them. The house also fills its laundry and public area posts from housekeeping.

Heated guest floors and a linen room on each floor, with a service lift and a trolley for every attendant. Gloves, an apron and non slip shoes are provided, and the cleaning agents are dosed from a central station.
