Delivery Driver

You load the van in delivery order in the morning, check each parcel against the manifest on the hand terminal and note anything damaged before you leave the yard. On the round you deliver to homes and shops, take a signature or a code on the terminal, collect returns and keep the cold chain items in the insulated box. Fuel, tolls and mileage go on the trip sheet. Back at the depot you unload the returns, hand over the terminal and park the van on charge. The round is 08:00 to 16:30 from Monday to Friday.

Category B driving licence held for at least two years

Confident driving in city traffic and on rural roads in winter

Able to carry parcels of up to 25 kg to a door

Use of a hand terminal after training at the depot

Polite handling of customers at the door

Basic English for addresses, labels and terminal messages

Net salary from 1150 up to 1310 EUR per month

Company van and fuel card, no private car is used for work

Drivers who know the region take on route planning for the depot or move to a heavier vehicle, for which the company pays the category C course. Depot shift leader posts open each year.

A heated depot with a loading dock, and a van with air conditioning and a parking heater. A high visibility jacket, gloves and safety shoes are worn on the dock and at every unloading point.
