Warehouse Operative

You pick orders with a hand scanner, build the pallet with the heavy cases at the bottom, wrap it and move it to the dispatch lane with an electric pallet truck. Every pallet is counted twice, once by you and once at the loading gate, and you sign the pick list for what left the building. You also unload incoming trailers, check the quantity against the delivery note and put the goods into the marked aisle. Two shifts run 07:00 to 15:30 and 15:30 to 24:00 with a weekly rotation, Sunday is free, and you report to the shift leader.

Basic school, no trade certificate required

Able to lift cases of up to 25 kg through a full shift

Accurate counting and legible writing on the pick list

Willingness to rotate two shifts every week

Basic English for labels, pallet notes and safety signs

A forklift licence is useful but is not a condition

Net salary from 1130 up to 1290 EUR per month

Operatives who learn the whole aisle layout move on to goods receiving or to stock control inside a year. The warehouse pays for the forklift licence for those who take on the reach truck.

A dry, heated hall with a concrete floor and a separate chilled room for fresh goods. Safety shoes, gloves and a high visibility vest are worn on the floor, and the aisles are marked so that people and trucks keep to their own lanes.
