A metal workshop in the Ropka industrial zone of Tartu is hiring fitters to assemble steel frames, platforms and pipework before welding. The plant builds to its own drawings for Estonian and Nordic customers and the contract is permanent.
About role
You take the cut parts from the store, read the assembly drawing and set them in the jig, then check the diagonals and the hole centres before anything is fixed. You drill and ream where the drawing asks, tack the joints, hand the frame to the welder and take it back for straightening and fitting of the brackets. Bolted joints are torqued to the figure on the drawing and recorded. The last step is a dimensional check and a mark with your own stamp. The shift runs 07:00 to 15:30 from Monday to Friday.
