MIG MAG Welder
Metal Industry · Tallinn, Estonia
JB-959 · Basic (A2) · 8 openings
A structural steel workshop in the Pohja-Tallinn industrial area is taking on welders for frames, platforms and machine bases in mild steel. The processes are 135 and 136, the drawings come from the plant's own engineering office and the contract is permanent.
About role
You read the drawing, set the parts in the jig, tack them, check the diagonals and then weld the seams in the order the drawing gives so the frame does not pull out of square. You grind the starts and stops, clean the spatter and mark the piece with your own stamp. Every fifth frame goes to the inspector for visual and gauge checks, and a seam that fails is reworked the same shift. You set the wire feed and gas flow on the machine yourself. The shift runs 07:00 to 15:30 from Monday to Friday, with overtime on Saturday by agreement.
