CNC Machine Operator
Metal Industry · Tallinn, Estonia
JB-958 · Basic (A2) · 4 openings
A machine shop in the Lasnamae industrial zone of Tallinn is adding CNC operators to its milling and turning cells. The order book is subcontract work for machine builders in Estonia and Finland, and the contract is permanent from the first day.
About role
You set the machine for the next batch, load the tools and the fixture, run the first article and measure it against the drawing with a caliper, a micrometer and a bore gauge. Once the part is signed off you run the series, check every tenth piece, change inserts when the surface tells you to and log the readings on the process sheet. Small edits to feed and speed in the control are part of the job, larger programme changes go to the programmer. Two shifts run 06:00 to 14:30 and 14:30 to 23:00 with a weekly rotation.
