Industrial Cleaner

You clean the offices on your floor to a written list: desks and glass partitions, the kitchen points, lifts and stairs, then the toilets, which are restocked and signed off on the sheet on the door. Floors are swept and washed with the machine in the corridors and by hand in the small rooms. You mix the product to the dose on the bottle, keep the colour coded cloths apart and report a spill or a broken lock to the team leader. Shifts run 06:00-14:00 or 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation.

No school certificate required, training is given on site

Cleaners who take on the floor machine and the chemical store become team leaders for a building within two years, with the ordering and the shift plan added to the work.

Work is indoors in heated and cooled offices, with the shopping centre corridors busier on the evening shift. Gloves, a uniform and non slip shoes are provided, and the chemicals are kept in a locked room.
