MIG/MAG Welder
Metal Industry · Toulouse, France
JB-855 · Basic (A2) · 6 openings
A steel fabrication workshop in the Montaudran area of Toulouse is taking on MIG and MAG welders for structural assemblies and handling frames. Work is on a single day shift, with a permanent contract after the trial period. Orders come from aeronautical subcontracting and from public works.
About role
You read the assembly drawing, position and tack the parts on the jig, then weld fillet and butt joints in steel from 3 to 12 mm with a MIG or MAG torch. You set the wire speed, the voltage and the gas flow yourself and adjust them to the joint. Each assembly is checked for straightness with a square and a tape before it leaves the bench, and visible defects are ground out and rewelded. Grinding, deburring and marking are part of the post. The shift is 07:00-16:00 from Monday to Thursday and 07:00-12:00 on Friday.
