A steel fabrication workshop in the Saint-Priest industrial zone east of Lyon is taking on MIG/MAG welders for its afternoon shift. Welded assemblies for handling equipment and access platforms, with a permanent contract after the trial period.
About role
You weld steel assemblies in MIG/MAG from a drawing and a set of tacked parts: uprights, gussets and base plates for handling frames, mostly 4 to 12 mm plate in the flat and vertical positions. Each set is tacked on the jig, checked for square, welded out, then ground and stamped with your own punch before it goes to the paint shop. You look after your own torch and liners, change the wire reel and set the parameters for the joint you are running. Two shifts alternate week by week, 06:00-13:30 and 13:30-21:00, and you report to the workshop foreman.
