Construction Electrician

You lay conduit and trunking to the drawing, pull cable, fit boxes, sockets, switches and luminaires, and terminate into distribution boards. You label circuits, carry out continuity and insulation tests with a multifunction tester and hand the readings to the site technician who signs the declaration of conformity. You coordinate with the bricklayers on chases and with the ceiling fitters on the lighting layout. The day is 08:00-17:00, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work at handover.

Vocational qualification in electrical work or four years on site

Confident conduit bending, cable pulling and board termination

Ability to read an electrical drawing and a single line diagram

Use of a multifunction tester for continuity and insulation

Valid safety training for construction sites, or willingness to attend it

English at B1, since site meetings are held with international clients

Willingness to work at height from a mobile tower

Net salary from 1550 up to 1700 EUR per month

Permanent contract with a three month trial period

Tester, hand tools and cordless machines provided by the firm

Paid refresher courses on site safety and work at height

Helmet, insulating gloves, safety boots and work clothing supplied

An electrician who keeps clean test records is trained on board building and commissioning work, which pays at a higher classification.

Work is inside buildings under construction or refurbishment, with temporary lighting, mobile towers for ceiling work and a site welfare unit. Helmet, insulating gloves and safety boots are mandatory.
