Forklift Operator

You drive a counterbalance truck in the yard and a reach truck inside the racking. The day starts with the check before use on the machine, the battery or gas bottle and the forks. You strip incoming trailers, scan each pallet into its bay location, feed the cross dock lanes for the evening departures and put surplus stock into the high racking at nine metres. Loads are checked for overhang and damaged pallets are set aside rather than lifted. Shifts are 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 on a weekly rotation with a fixed Saturday off.

Valid forklift licence under the 2012 state regions agreement, or willingness to obtain it

At least one year on a counterbalance truck, reach truck experience welcome

Ability to read a bay location code and a loading list

Willingness to rotate between the morning and the afternoon shift

English at A2 for safety signage and the shift handover

Care around pedestrians, since the hall has mixed traffic

A clean record on load damage at previous sites

Net salary from 1520 up to 1670 EUR per month

Permanent contract from the first working day

Shift supplement on the afternoon shift and overtime paid at the contractual rate

Work clothing, safety shoes and a high visibility jacket supplied

Drivers who work the high racking reliably are trained on the narrow aisle truck and on the inventory terminal, which leads to the stock control role.

The hall is a covered cross dock with resin floors, marked pedestrian routes and loading bays fitted with dock levellers. A helmet in the yard, safety shoes, gloves and a high visibility jacket are mandatory.
