Construction Labourer

You carry and place material, mix mortar, feed the bricklayers and the steel fixers, strike and clean formwork panels, and keep the floor and the access routes clear. On concrete days you help with the pump line and the vibrator under the supervision of the foreman. You tie and cut reinforcement to the bar list once you have been shown how, and you load the skip for the crane. Work runs 07:00-15:30 Monday to Friday, with overtime in the dry months paid at the agreed rate.

Primary school completed, no qualification needed

An open site with scaffolding, edge protection and marked access routes, and a heated cabin with lockers and a drying room. A helmet, gloves, a vest and safety shoes are mandatory and supplied by the employer.
