Construction · Kumanovo, North Macedonia
JB-598 · Basic (A2) · 8 openings
A civil works contractor building retail halls and small road bridges around Kumanovo is taking on steel fixers for its reinforcement crews. The contract is permanent, the crew works to a fixed schedule and the wage is paid on the same date every month.
About role
You cut, bend and tie reinforcement for foundations, columns, slabs and small bridge decks. The day covers reading the bending schedule, checking bar diameters and lengths against it, setting the spacers so the concrete cover is right, tying the cages with a hook or a battery tier, and guiding the finished cage into the formwork with the crane signaller. You keep the offcuts in the scrap bay, count what is placed before each pour and stop the pour together with the foreman when a bar is missing. The crew works 07:00-15:30 from Monday to Friday, with paid Saturdays when concrete is booked.
