Warehouse Operative

You pick orders from a paper list and from a hand terminal, stack the pallet so that the heavy cases sit at the bottom, wrap it and move it to the dispatch lane. Every pallet is counted twice, once by you and once at the gate, and you sign for what you loaded. You also help unload incoming trucks, check the quantity against the delivery note and put the goods in the marked aisle. Two shifts run 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation, and you report to the shift leader on the floor.

Primary school completed, no trade qualification needed

Able to lift cases of up to 20 kg through a full shift

Counting accurately and writing down what was picked

Operatives who learn the whole stock layout move to goods receiving or to the forklift, and the company pays for the forklift licence at a training centre in Skopje.

A heated warehouse hall with racking up to six metres, a separate chilled room at 4 degrees for dairy, and walkways marked away from the forklift lanes. Gloves, safety shoes and a high visibility vest are mandatory and supplied.
