Warehouse Operative and Forklift Driver

You receive goods against the delivery note, check quantity, batch and expiry date, and put the pallets away in the racking by location. Picking runs from a hand terminal: you build the order pallet, wrap it, label it and stage it in the loading lane for the route. You count the stock in your aisle once a week, report damage and short deliveries the same day, and load the vans in the morning together with the driver. Once you hold the licence you also move pallets with a counterbalance or reach truck. Two shifts, 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00.

Primary school finished, a warehouse or shop background is welcome

Careful counting and reading of batch numbers and expiry dates

Steady physical work with cases up to 20 kg

Basic handling of a hand terminal or a scanner

Forklift licence, or willingness to take the course paid by the employer

Two shift rotation and one Saturday a month

Basic English for labels and supplier documents

Net salary from 438 up to 482 EUR per month

Higher rate once you drive the forklift with your own licence

Permanent contract after a three month trial period

Forklift course and the licence paid by the employer

Warm meal during the shift and a cash transport allowance

Performance bonus paid every quarter on picking accuracy

Work clothing, gloves, back support belt and safety shoes provided

The warehouse pays the forklift course after the trial period, and a licensed driver moves onto the driver rate for the zone. Aisle leader and goods receipt clerk are filled from the floor.

A high bay warehouse with marked pedestrian lanes, a chilled room at 4 degrees for dairy and a heated break room. Vest, gloves and safety shoes are mandatory, and a warm jacket is issued for work in the chilled area.
