Heavy Goods Driver

You load at the depot against the delivery list, check the securing and the weight distribution, and run a regional route with six to ten drops. At each customer you unload with the tail lift or a pallet truck, get the delivery note signed and bring back the empties and the returns. Tachograph breaks are taken in full and the card is downloaded weekly. A daily walk round on tyres, lights, brakes and the tail lift belongs to the driver. The day runs from 06:00 and is finished by 16:00.

Category C licence and a valid CAM certificate

Digital tachograph card in your own name

At least two years on regional or national distribution

Confident with a tail lift and a manual pallet truck

Comfortable with narrow streets and rural access roads

Basic English for delivery notes and terminal screens

Net salary from 1050 up to 1155 EUR per month

Permanent contract with Social Security from the first day

Meal allowance of 6,15 EUR for every worked day

Home every night, since the routes are regional

A fixed vehicle kept by the same driver

CAM renewal and the medical examination paid by the employer

Work clothing, high visibility jacket, gloves and safety shoes provided

Drivers with two clean years move to the trunk runs between Braga and Lisbon, which pay a daily allowance, or to the depot as a loading planner. The company pays the ADR course for those who want it.

Rigid vehicles with a tail lift, air conditioning and a reversing camera, loaded at a covered dock and unloaded in yards and on the street. High visibility jacket, gloves and safety shoes are mandatory and are supplied by the employer.
