A distribution centre in the Prior Velho logistics park north of Lisbon is taking on warehouse operatives for its dry goods and chilled lines. The site supplies supermarkets across the Lisbon district on two shifts. Permanent contract from the first day.
About role
You pick orders with a radio frequency terminal, reading the location and the quantity from the screen and building the pallet in the order the delivery route needs. Between picks you replenish the lower racks from the reserve levels, wrap the finished pallet, weigh it and label it for its loading bay. Damaged or short stock goes to the discrepancy area with a written note. Two shifts run 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation, and you report to the shift leader for your aisle.
Who's a fit?
Basic schooling and the right to work in Portugal
Warehouse or shop stockroom experience is useful but not required
Able to lift and move goods repeatedly across a full shift
Comfortable with a handheld scanner after the internal training
Willing to rotate between the morning and the afternoon shift
Basic English for labels, terminal screens and safety signs

Net salary from 850 up to 935 EUR per month
Permanent contract with Social Security from the first day
Meal allowance of 6,15 EUR for every worked day

Promotion terms
Operatives who learn the reserve levels and the discrepancy paperwork move to goods receiving or to inventory control inside a year. The forklift licence is the usual next step and the employer pays for it.
Work environment
A covered warehouse on two levels, racking up to eight metres, marked pedestrian lanes and chilled chambers for the fresh lines. High visibility vest, safety shoes and gloves are mandatory and supplied by the employer.
