Construction Electrician

You set out the circuits from the single line drawing, cut and fix the conduit, pull the cable and mount the boxes on each floor. In the second fix you terminate sockets, switches and luminaires, wire the distribution board to the schedule, label the ways and test insulation resistance and continuity before the board is energised. Every circuit you close is signed off on the test sheet and handed to the site engineer. The site works 07:30-16:30 from Monday to Friday, with Saturday paid separately when a handover date is close.

Trade school in electrical work or equal practice

At least three years on building electrical installations

Reading a single line drawing and a circuit schedule

Confident with a multimeter and an insulation tester

Work at height on a tower scaffold, with training provided

Basic English for instrument menus and equipment labels

ANRE grade is an advantage but is not required at hiring

Net salary from 950 up to 1045 EUR per month

Permanent contract after a three month trial period

Meal tickets for every worked day

Paid ANRE authorisation course after the first year

Site transport from the company yard in the morning

Hand tools, testers and a cordless drill provided

Work clothing, helmet, gloves and safety shoes provided

An electrician who takes the ANRE grade runs his own floor and signs off the test sheets, and the contractor fills its site foreman posts from the crews. The course is paid by the employer.

Unfinished floors of a residential block, scaffolded and lit, with a locked container for tools and a heated site cabin for breaks. Helmet, gloves and safety shoes are mandatory and are supplied by the employer.
