Forklift Driver

You unload incoming trailers with a counterbalance truck, check the delivery note against the pallet label and move the goods to the inbound buffer. From there you put pallets away into racking to eight metres with a reach truck and top up the picking faces before each shift starts. You complete the daily check sheet on the truck, report a leak or a worn wheel the same hour and park the machine on charge at the end of the shift. Two shifts run 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation.

Valid forklift licence for classes W1 and W2, or willingness to take it

At least one year on a counterbalance or reach truck

Reading a delivery note and a pallet label without help

Steady hand at height, racking runs to eight metres

Willing to rotate the morning and the afternoon shift

Basic Czech or English for radio calls and safety signs

Net salary from 1011 up to 1112 EUR per month

Permanent contract with insurance from the first day

Afternoon shift supplement paid on top of the basic rate

Five weeks of paid holiday a year

Meal allowance paid with the wage, no canteen deduction

Forklift licence renewal and the medical check paid by the employer

Work clothing, gloves and safety shoes issued twice a year

Drivers who master the reach truck and the inbound paperwork take over goods inwards for a whole shift, which is the step before the warehouse foreman post. The employer pays for the crane and platform tickets as well.

A heated hall with painted traffic lanes, mirrors at every junction and a separate battery room with forced ventilation. A high visibility vest, safety shoes and gloves are mandatory and supplied by the employer.
