A joinery workshop between Sibiu and Cisnadie makes fitted kitchens and interior doors for the domestic market and for two Austrian dealers. Five carpenters wanted for the assembly and fitting bench, on a permanent contract.
About role
You build carcases and doors from chipboard, MDF and solid beech, working from a cutting list and a fitting drawing. The day covers taking parts off the panel saw and the edge bander, drilling the hinge and shelf holes on the boring machine, assembling the carcase square, hanging doors and adjusting the hinges, then sanding and checking the surface before it goes to the lacquer booth. Every finished unit is marked with the order number and set on the rack for delivery. One shift, 07:00-15:30, with Friday finishing at 14:00.
Who's a fit?
Trade school in carpentry, joinery or furniture making
Two years at a workshop bench, or one year plus a course
Reading a cutting list and a fitting drawing
Panel saw, edge bander and boring machine
Accurate to the millimetre on hinge and shelf positions
Basic English for machine labels and hardware catalogues
Careful hands, the parts go straight to the lacquer booth

Promotion terms
Carpenters who work accurately move to the fitting crew that installs kitchens in the customer's home, which pays a supplement for each day on site. The workshop pays the CNC course for its own people.
Work environment
A dry and heated workshop with extraction on every machine, a separate lacquer booth and a bench for each carpenter. Ear protection, a dust mask, gloves and safety shoes are supplied by the employer.
