Painter and Decorator

You prepare and paint walls and ceilings in flats that are being handed over to buyers. The day covers filling and sanding the plaster, taping the edges, priming, then two coats with a roller and brush, plus spray work on the larger ceilings. You mix the colour from the site sheet, keep the shade even across one flat, protect the floor and the joinery, and clean the room before the site manager checks it. Two crews cover one block at a time, and the working day is 08:00-16:30 with a half hour break.

At least three years of interior painting and finishing

Painters who work clean and keep the pace take over a crew of four after two years. The company pays the decorative finishes course at the training centre in Iasi for anyone who wants the higher rate.

The work is indoors, in closed and heated flats, with interior scaffolding and site lighting on every floor. A dust mask, goggles, gloves and overalls are provided, and the sanding machines are connected to extraction.
