CNC Wood Machining Operator

You load MDF and solid panels onto a nesting router and a boring centre, call up the released programme, set the vacuum pods and check the first part against the drawing with a caliper and a template. You change router bits when the edge burns, correct feed and spindle speed inside the limits the programmer sets, clear chips from the table and empty the extraction bin. Good parts and scrap go onto the shift sheet per order. Two shifts, 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00, rotating weekly with a paid supplement.

Trade school in woodworking, mechanics or a similar field

At least one year on a CNC router or a boring centre

Reading a drawing and simple ISO or Biesse code

Sure hand with a caliper and with a bit change

Willing to rotate two shifts weekly

Basic English for the CNC screen and the tooling catalogue

Net salary from 1430 up to 1570 EUR per month

Permanent contract under the wood and furniture agreement

Shift supplement on the afternoon shift, paid monthly

13th month payment and a production bonus in July

Canteen meal at 2 EUR and free coffee

Four paid weeks on the machine with the senior operator

Ear protection, goggles, gloves and safety shoes provided

Operators who learn the CAM side write their own nesting programmes within two years, and the plant pays the Biesse and Xilog courses for them.

A clean hall kept at a steady temperature, with extraction at each spindle, silos outside and marked lanes for the panel trolleys. Ear protection, goggles and safety shoes are mandatory and supplied.
