CNC Machinist

You set up and run three-axis and four-axis CNC milling centres on steel, aluminium and cast parts for hydraulic and gearbox assemblies. The day covers clamping the part, loading the released programme, cutting the first piece, measuring it with a caliper, micrometer and bore gauge, and correcting tool offsets when a dimension drifts. You change worn inserts, top up the coolant and book quantities per order in the shop system. Shifts run 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation, and you hand over to the next machinist with a short written note.

Completed trade training as a machinist, toolmaker or turner

At least two years on a CNC milling machine

Reading technical drawings, tolerances and simple ISO code

Confident with caliper, micrometer and bore gauge on first article checks

Willing to rotate the early and late shift weekly

Basic English for machine menus and safety signs

An EU driving licence is welcome, a works bus also runs

Net salary from 2321 up to 2560 EUR per month

Permanent contract after a six month trial

Shift supplement of 15 percent on the late shift

Machinists who take over setup and first article inspection move to setter inside a year. The shop pays the CAM programming course at the IHK in Regensburg and fills its shift lead posts from its own team.

A bright hall with chip conveyors, mist extraction at each machine and marked walkways to a separate measuring room. Ear protection, safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes are supplied and mandatory.
