CNC Milling Operator

You set the machine for the order: clamp the fixture, load the tools, set the zero point and run the programme in single block for the first part. You measure the first article with a caliper, a micrometer and a height gauge against the drawing, correct the tool offset and release the batch. During the run you check every tenth part, change worn inserts and record the measurements in the inspection sheet. Shifts run 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation.

Trade qualification as a cutting machine operator or equal practice

At least three years on CNC milling machines, Heidenhain or Siemens control

Able to read a technical drawing with form and position tolerances

Confident with caliper, micrometer and height gauge

Willing to rotate two shifts week by week

Basic English for control menus and tool data sheets

Net salary from 2250 up to 2475 EUR per month

Permanent contract under the metal industry collective agreement

Shift supplement on the late shift and an annual bonus payment

Thirty days of annual leave under the collective agreement

Paid training on five axis machining and on the measuring machine

Work clothing, safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes provided

Operators who set the machine alone and hold the tolerance move to programming at the machine and later to the setter role for the five axis cells.

A bright machining hall with enclosed machines, coolant extraction, a temperature controlled measuring room and a chip conveyor at every cell. Safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes are mandatory and supplied.
