Certified Welder

You weld steel and stainless assemblies in MAG and TIG to the welding procedure sheet, keeping to the given current, wire feed and interpass temperature. You tack the assembly on the jig, run the root and the fill passes, then clean and pickle the stainless seams. Every seam is checked visually and some are released for dye penetrant testing. You stamp your own work and log the consumables used. Shifts run 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 with a weekly rotation.

Valid welding certificate to EN ISO 9606 in MAG, TIG or both

At least three years in apparatus or pipe fabrication

Able to read a welding procedure sheet and a fabrication drawing

Experience with stainless steel, including cleaning and pickling

Willing to rotate two shifts week by week

Basic English for procedure sheets and machine menus

Net salary from 2200 up to 2420 EUR per month

Permanent contract under the metal industry collective agreement

Shift supplement on the late shift and a dirty work allowance

Thirty days of annual leave and an annual bonus payment

Deutschlandticket paid by the employer

Renewal of the EN ISO 9606 certificate paid by the shop

Welding mask, leather apron, gloves and safety shoes provided

Welders with a clean test record are trained for orbital welding on pipe and later for the welding supervisor course, which the shop pays for and releases time for.

A hall with fume extraction at every booth, welding screens between the bays, a separate stainless area and a pickling station with its own ventilation. Mask, apron, gloves and shoes are supplied.
