Production Line Operator

You work one station on the packing line: feeding jars into the filler, watching the fill level and the seal, placing the lid, or checking labels for date and batch before the case packer. Every hour you take a jar off the line, weigh it and write the result on the line sheet for the quality technician. At the end of the shift you strip your station, wash it down and hand it over clean. Two shifts rotate weekly, 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00, and during the campaign a third shift is offered first to the people already on the line.

Operators who learn the filler and the labeller become line setters, and the plant takes its shift leaders from that group. The hygiene and food safety course is paid by the employer.

A washable hall kept at about eighteen degrees, with drainage in the floor, ear protection at the filler and a heated changing room. Coat, cap and non slip shoes are mandatory and the plant washes them.
