MIG/MAG Welder

You weld steel profiles and plate in MIG/MAG on jigs, following the drawing and the weld symbol given for each joint. The day starts with checking the wire, the gas flow and the earth clamp, then tacking the assembly, running the fill passes and grinding the seam where it will be painted. You measure the frame with a tape and a square before it leaves the jig, stamp your own work and report any porosity to the welding foreman. Two shifts run 07:00-15:00 and 15:00-23:00 with a weekly rotation, and Saturday work is voluntary and paid on top.

Trade school in welding or metalwork, or equal practice

At least two years in MIG/MAG on steel above 3 mm

Reading a fabrication drawing and weld symbols

Steady with an angle grinder, a square and a tape

Willing to rotate two shifts weekly

Basic English for machine menus and safety labels

Net salary from 748 up to 823 EUR per month

Work clothing, leather gloves, mask and safety shoes provided

Welders who pass the shop's fillet and butt test move to the structural team and to certified work within a year. The workshop pays for the EN ISO 9606 examination at a testing house in Tirana.

A covered hall with a fume extraction arm at every booth, welding screens between the bays and a separate grinding corner. Mask, leather apron, gloves and safety shoes are mandatory and supplied by the employer.
